Alternative Dispute Resolution ("ADR") refers to any means of settling disputes outside of the courtroom. ADR typically includes arbitration and mediation. I have served as a mediator and arbitrator in Contra Costa County for a wide variety of cases. These methods can prove to be superior to litigation. They are less confrontational in approach, and they often result in better and less expensive results for the participants. I think the clients who have been involved in these methods of resolution have been most pleased with the results.
Mel and I are listed on the Los Angeles County Superior Court’s panel for Voluntary Settlement Officers, Mediators, and Arbitrators. We serve individually or jointly as needed. It is our intention to be of service to the community by acting in these evolving fields.
In our private practice, we are engaging in these alternative dispute resolution methods and are expecting excellent results for our clients. We can help the parties by acting as neutral mediators to assist clients to resolve their disputes without the extra emotional stress and expense of actual litigation.
We are also arbitrators. Arbitrators act as neutral third parties to hear evidence and decide the case. Arbitration can be binding or non-binding. Clients are free to choose mediation or arbitration.
If you desire, we can help you in the fields of law listed under services.
